Yup the good reviews are 100% right. If you’re hesitating getting this, don’t. Best thing EVER. I’ve been clipping my sons nails since birth and he’s now 6 months. I’m SO mad I waited. I liked cutting them because I knew I could get the short to the length I wanted and usually did a good job. But they just grow SO fast and life has gotten so busy that I just couldn’t take the time to sit there and perfectly trim each nail like I used to. Didn’t have much faith in this but holy crap! It’s amazing. Did his nails in like 5 minutes while he was sleeping. So quick and easy to use! Works very well on fidgeting infants and toddlers. Ever felt like you are diffusing a bomb when clipping little one's nails? This thing takes *most* of the stress out of the process. No longer do you have to worry about snipping off too much or clipping some skin. The motor on the nail file is strong enough to polish off little nails, but light enough that any extra pressure will cause the disc to stop.I bought 2 of these (one for me, one for a baby shower). I got mine sometime after my baby was born, so I skipped the first grit disc. When I needed to reorder new ones for my son's age, the company didn't have any non mixed sets (i didn't need an extra soft grit pad as I wasn't going to use it). The folks at Little Martin worked with me to get me a 3 pack of the grit level I needed. Not only is this a good product, the folks behind it are awesome too.

We've all been there - trying to clip a squirming baby or toddler's long scratchy nails and accidentally clipping too much and causing the finger to bleed and the baby to scream in pain. It feels awful. After this experience with my second baby I started searching for better options than the infant nail clippers and found this nail file. It's amazing! Super happy with this purchase. I had been worried that the pad might be abrasive on the skin, but it's not at all. I've been able to keep my baby's nails trim without having to worrying about cutting her. TIP: you have to yank the file attachment to get it off and the battery cover is a bit loose.
